Knowing how to eat, what to eat and what not to eat – is one of the key elements that will contribute to your overall success.
Nutrition is the key to unlocking the door to vibrant health and energy!
In our modern world, nutrition is more important than ever before. In fact, what we eat can directly cause or cure many illnesses that are chronic and degenerative. Do you want to protect yourself against disease? Maintaining a healthy diet can give you the power to take your health into your own hands. Remember:
Food is Medicine!
The most common question I am asked is “how do I determine what a healthy diet is?” The next question is “how can I eat so that I am protecting myself against disease?”
Ultimately, one of the most important things to keep in mind is that a short term diet, is only a temporary solution and the most impactful healing can take place with a long term therapeutic diet. In this way, dieting is not a short term or “quick fix”, but rather a lifestyle change and a new way of not only relating to food, but yourself and your body as well.
Below are some of the other common questions that are frequently aksed:
–“What makes a diet a therapeutic diet?”
–“Is there a diet for my specific health issue?”
–“Is there a certain way I should be eating to prevent some of the conditions that run in my family?
–“Do I need to eat like this forever?”
–“What can I do about my food cravings?”
–“Do I need to detoxify my body?”
Dr. Hoffman answers these and many other questions with logic, and based not only on science, but on your own unique needs as well. There is no such thing as a “one size fits all” diet. The only way to truly understand your nutritional needs is to look at every detail of your medical history, family history, present medical concerns, medications, lifestyle, and much more. Through this process of learning about you as an individual, Dr. Hoffman can determine what specifically is needed in your diet to deliver a powerful therapeutic effect. More than a way to lose unwanted weight, this individualized nutritional approach will allow you to regain your vitality and help to prevent the development of unwanted degenerative conditions.
Some of the other more basic areas of consideration when developing a diet unique to each individual, may include things such as:
-The content of Micronutrients in certain foods (minerals, vitamins, bioflavinoids, phytonutrients, antioxidants, etc.)
-The content of Macronutritents in certain foods (sugar, carbohydrates, protein, types of fats, etc.)
-The nutrient density of food “per calorie”, which can allow you to maximize the healing effects of what you are eating, while minimizing the calorie dense foods that are devoid of vital healing properties.
-Level of Toxicity in food (pesticide, herbicide, fungicide residues, heavy metals, trans fats, sodium, etc.)
–Quality of the food (canned, frozen, prepared, prepackaged, fresh, organic, etc.)
Dr. Hoffman’s patients have significantly improved or recovered from their medical problems after following the treatment plans that were developed for their unique needs. Yes, many of Dr. Hoffman’s patients have lost a considerable amount of weight following his diets, but what is much more important than the weight loss, is the quality of life that they now have. Many patients with conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, autoimmune disease, headaches, menstrual problems, allergies, high blood pressure, and more- are living healthier as well as much happier lives!
